Depending on what magazine you read or what alarming headline comes in your inbox, we are either doing great or dealing with sluggishness. In spite of the growth of certain industries, we know that nations are in debt, the BRICS are slowing down, and the Russian and Arab Springs have disappointed.

Those issues may be behind some of the results reported in the Business Priorities 2014 survey we conducted. This survey had two parts, so we will cover the business goals and issues in Part One.
