Abstract needed here…

Dear Aidmatrix Partner:
As you know, Katrina has hit Atlantic and Gulf Coast Florida as well as the Panhandle, Mississippi, Alabama, and New Orleans, Louisiana with incredible force leaving a wide swath of destruction which will take months to rebuild and overcome.

If you would like to help the survivors to reclaim their lives while engaging your employees in the virtuous cause, consider hosting a Virtual Aid Drive (VAD) to raise funds for the disaster victims. Virtual Aid Drives are easy to launch, and utilize — even if your employees are in multiple locations.

Accenture Accor HotelsAlcatelBEABur son-Marstelleri2Longview NewsSun Microsystems are just a few corporations who have used the VAD to bring teams together around a noble and urgent cause (click on the names to access their VAD).

About Aidmatrix Disaster Relief Efforts

Aidmatrix solutions will be used to help rebuild the destruction. Aidmatrtix is partnering with the Adventist Community Services (ACS) to streamline the disaster relief warehouse inventory processes. Although you might not know their name, they have been a critical link in disaster relief in the US for many years. They are part of a national network of organizations working together in times like this to help rebuild devastated communities. The Salvation Army, American Red Cross, American Baptist Men, the Mennonite Disaster Services, are all members of VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) whose unpaid volunteers dedicate their time to helping people they do not even know to recover their lives after disasters strike. Each member organization plays a specific role.

ACS’ role is to create and mange warehouses during disaster response. Where once there was nothing, a warehouse will soon be brimming with product and volunteers. Charities use this warehouse to get critical supplies including food, clothing, personal care items, cleaning supplies, etc to the community. Maintaining accurate systems is critical to a smooth response effort. It’s critical to understand inventory levels, donations, recipients and to share this information with key constituents including state government and the ACS team on a national basis — for as long as they are needed transitioning from emergency response, to cleanup to the rebuilding phase. Aidmatrix is proud to empower ACS to do more, to help them serve more people in need — more quickly and efficiently.
